The Assistant Comptroller-General General of Customs (ACG) in charge of Zone B, ACG Sambo Dangaladima, visited the Kebbi Area Command on Friday, 8 November 2024, as part of an ongoing tour across Zone B.
According to a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Superintendent of Customs, Mohammed Salisu, ACG Dangaladima addressed officers during a formal parade, commending the Customs Area Controller (CAC) and command officers for their dedication to Customs’ core mandate.
He urged personnel to contribute to addressing Kebbi’s security challenges, stating, “The leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service has full confidence in your commitment and capability.”
Dangaladima emphasised that strengthening security and stability in Kebbi requires cooperation among the Customs Command, sister security agencies, traditional rulers, and local stakeholders.
He held a closed-door meeting with stakeholders, encouraging compliance with Customs’ laws to ensure lawful cross-border trade.
As part of the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Adewale Adeniyi’s vision for work-life balance and professional development, Dangaladima also inaugurated two new facilities at the command: a five-aside football pitch and an e-library learning centre.
He acknowledged that the facilities reflect the positive relationship between Customs and its partners, who continue to support the agency’s initiatives.
ACG Dangaladima concluded his visit with a courtesy call to the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar, to seek his blessings, stressing that the visit highlights Customs’ commitment to engaging with traditional authorities in fostering regional security and harmony.
