President Bola Tinubu has equally written the House of Representatives seeking the green chamber’s consideration and passage of the Rivers State 2025 budget proposal of 1.48 trillion Naira.
The president says it is in line with the constitutional powers of the National Assembly to legislate for the state following the suspension of the State House of Assembly and the current emergency rule in the state.
Speaker of the House Abbas Tajudeen read the President’s proposal on the floor of the House at Thursday’s plenary, which indicated 324 billion naira for new and ongoing infrastructure projects in Rivers State and 166 billion naira for healthcare.
