The Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, has resigned.
In a report obtained from DAILY NIGERIAN, it reliably gathered that he tendered his resignation at the Presidential Villa on Saturday.
Sources said the resignation was part of the president’s plan to overhaul the security architecture of the country towards checkmating the rising insecurity
Mr Rufai was first appointed to head the nation’s premier external security outfit by the Buhari administration in April 2017, following the removal of the acting director-general, Mohammed Dauda.
