
The House Representatives will conduct a public hearing on tax reform bills on February 26.
Speaker Tajudeen Abbas announced during Tuesday’s plenary session that a public hearing will be conducted to gather feedback from the community.
In pursuit of this goal, the House has established a 36-member Special Committee tasked with coordinating the session. This committee will incorporate expertise in tax administration, emphasizing the advantages of the proposed tax reform.
According to Speaker Abbas, Abiodun Faleke, will take on the role of chair for the Committee, while Seidu Abdullahi, the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, will serve as his deputy.
Additional members are Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, Nicholas Mutu, Fred Agedi, and Idu Igariwey, among others.
