EFCC Detains Kano First Lady, Hafsa Ganduje

Report from credible sources confirmed that wife of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Abuja.

According to the sources, Hafsat Ganduje, was at EFCC headquarters for interrogation but was detained there Monday night, perhaps to continue with the interrogation Tuesday morning.

The first lady was petitioned by her son on an alleged financial misappropriation regarding land dispute.

Abdulaziz Ganduje her son was approached by property developer to help facilitate the acquisition of some plots of land in Kano with some hundreds of thousands of US dollars and at least 35 million Naira as “facilitation commission” this newspaper recalls.
