Code of Conduct Bureau Educates Customs Officers on Asset Declaration Procedures

On April 17, 2024, the Code of Conduct Bureau conducted a sensitisation program at the Imo/Abia Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service in Owerri, Imo State, to enlighten officers and personnel on the proper procedures for asset declaration.

The Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Elisha Luka, commended the Bureau officials for their dedication to ensuring compliance with the asset declaration process. He urged all Customs officers and personnel to strictly follow the guidelines provided by the Code of Conduct Bureau when declaring their assets.

The Director of the Code of Conduct Bureau in Imo State, Boniface Ejiogu, emphasised the significance of asset declaration in the public service, warning officers and personnel about the consequences of false declarations and the associated penalties.
