Today, the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) launched the 2024 Mu’azzam Ibrahim Institute of Philosophy, Political Theory, and Critical Thinking.
The institute aims to address the decline in the quality of philosophy and political theory education for young people, which has impacted critical thinking skills among the younger generation.
The Institute was established to encourage youths to think critically, question established concepts, phenomena, and beliefs, and engage in sustained reading, integrating knowledge into their everyday lives.
The program is facilitated by the philosopher, Ibrahim Muazzam, a former member of the academic staff in the Department of Political Science at Bayero University, Kano.
