Anemekwe replaces Ahmed as AGF pending EFCC investigation

Muhammadu Buhari, president of Nigeria, has approved the Mr. Anamekwe Chukwunyere Nwabuoku to takover office of the Accountant General of the Federation pending outcome of the investigation being carried out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The appoint of Mr. Nwabuoke came after the Accountant General of the Federation Mr. Ahmed Idris was suspended following his arrest by the EFCC on alleged money laundery.

Bashir Ahmed a former presidential aide on New Media, confirmed the development on Sunday.

“Mr. Anamekwe Chukwunyere Nwabuoku has been appointed to oversee the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, pending the outcome of the EFCC investigation of the suspended AGF, Ahmad Idris.” Mr. Ahmed wrote.
