The outgoing governor of Zamfara state, His Excellency Abdulaziz Yari has said his administration have accepted the apex court’s verdict of Friday 24th May, 2019 which sacked all but one elective position in the state.
This was contained in a statement released on Saturday May 25, 2019 in the state’s capital Gusau, through the office of Hon Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Zamfara state on Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication, Mal Ibrahim Dosara.
Gov Yari noted that they have done their collective best for the party in the state to ensure collective victory at all levels but lost by the will of Allah.
The Gov acknowledged the efforts put up by the state chapter of the APC towards the success of the party before, during and after the 2019 general elections.
“Our members have done their best in ensuring the viability and capability of the party to continue to hold on to power to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the state, but as Allah wanted it, the Supreme Court judgement went the way it happened. ”
“We therefore urge all members of the party as well as other citizens of the state to remain calm, peaceful and law abiding.” The Gov said.
The security agencies in the state were directed to ensure adequate law and order is maintained in the state.
