The Zamfara state house of assembly has impeached the deputy governor of the state Mahdi Aliyu Gusau, in a plenary on Wednesday.
The impeachment followed a panel report set up by the chief judge of the state, Kulu Aliyu, to investigate alleged impeachable offences against the deputy governor.
Th lawmakers who voted in favour of the impeachment numbered 20 out of the total 21in the assembly.
