No fewer than 10 worshippers were killed as bandits stormed a community called Yasore in Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina state.
While observing maghrib prayer the victims where killed when the bandits opened fire on them.
It is reliably gathered that the dead bodies were buried on Wednesday morning while those who sustained injuries are being treated in the hospital.
SP Gambo Isah, Katsina Police command confirmed the news saying the bandits were out for revenge from an onslaught by Yan sa kai.
“The bandits were on reprisal mission. 10 people were killed while 11 others were injured,” he said
He warned that, “Any member of Yan sa kai caught henceforth would be treated as bandits. Yan’sa kai remain outlaw in the state,” he said.
