The number of people who have died from complications of COVID-19 in the United Kingdom increased by 938 in 24 hours.
This makes the latest figure the biggest daily increase since the outbreak of the disease in the country.
According to the country’s department of health, a total of 60 thousand 733 people have now tested positive for the virus and 7 thousand and 97 of those hospitalized have died.
As of Tuesday, the number of deaths recorded was 6 thousand 159 with 55 thousand 242 confirmed cases.
The figures from the governments is of people who died in the hospital and does not include deaths in the community which shows that the death toll could be higher.
