TV Station Honours Veteran Broadcaster, Names Headquaters After Him

The management of Tambari TV, an international news based television operating from Kano named its headquaters after the aced and veteran broadcaster Halilu Ahmad Getso. 

The development was conveyed in a statement by member of the TV implementation committee, Sanusi Bature Dawan-Tofa. 

“The headquaters of the first international news based televisin station in Kano has been named after the famous broadcaster Alhaji Halilu Ahmad Getso to appreciate his contribution on the practice of journalism in Nigeria.” part of the statement read. 

Halilu Getso was former General Manager Radio Nigeria Kaduna and Lagos – Federal Radio Corporations. He was also General Manager Kano State Radio Corporation; and lately Jallaba Radio in Kano before he ditched the job. 

Halilu while appreciating the gesture revealed that he was honoured by somebody he doen’t know, a testimony that hardwork pays.

“I have never known the founder, he might have known me of course, but his decision on branding my name at the station’s head office has made me reflect on the good side of my days while in active service at Radio Nigeria and the BBC service”
