U. S. President Donald Trump has introduced a new policy proposal that would provide every American child born between 2025 and 2028 with a $1,000 investment account, as part of his latest legislative push.

Tagged “Trump Accounts,” the initiative targets all U.S. citizens born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. According to Daily Mail, the plan originally carried the name “MAGA Accounts” but was rebranded as “Trump Accounts” before passing the House last month.

Under the proposal, the government would deposit $1,000 into an index fund for each eligible child. The funds would be managed by the child’s legal guardians and invested in the stock market, with the goal of long-term financial growth.

Speaking from the White House on Monday, Trump described the initiative as a cost-free measure for taxpayers that would give future generations a financial head start.

“It will make it possible for countless American children to have a strong start in life at no cost to the American taxpayer, absolutely no cost. It’s going to have a huge impact.”

Trump described the proposal as a “pro-family” measure as he works to gain Senate backing for the legislation.

“It is a pro family initiative that will help millions of Americans harness the strength of our economy to lift up the next generation, and they’ll really be getting a big jump on life, especially if we get a little bit lucky with some of the numbers and the economies,” he said.
