Tight Security as Buhari’s Burial Holds in Daura

The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with other security agencies led by the Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Zone 14, has deployed security personnel in Daura and across the state ahead of the burial of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Bello Shehu, expressed its deepest condolences to the government and people of Katsina State, as well as to Buhari’s family, friends, and the nation at large over his passing.

In an official statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, the Command paid tribute to Buhari’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s development and growth.

Meanwhile, the Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 2,807 personnel as part of heightened security arrangements for the burial of the late former president.

State Commandant Aminu Datti disclosed the deployment during a strategic meeting with senior management staff at the NSCDC State Headquarters in Katsina on Monday.
