The Senate has instructed the Finance Committee to put on hold any further legislative activities regarding the tax reform bills.
The Senate has decided to meet with the Attorney General of the Federation this Thursday to address and clarify the contentious points related to the proposed Tax Reform Bills.
During the plenary session on Wednesday, Deputy President of the Senate Barau Jibrin,stated that the decision was the outcome of multiple discussions held by the senate concerning the suggested tax reforms.
He also declared the formation of a committee on this matter, which will be led by the Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Abba Moro.
The Senate Committee on Finance has been instructed to suspend any further legislative progress on the bill and to wait for the results of the upcoming meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation.
