Suspected IPOB members killed 175 security personnel – FG

Federal government says its findings show that members of the outlawed separatist group, IPOB, have so far attacked 164 police facilities across several states.

The federal government added that the armed separatists killed a total of 175 security personnel.

The federal government’s stance was contained in a statement today by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

The federal government also said suspected IPOB members carried out 19 attacks on the facilities of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, resulting in the burning of 18 vehicles.

Meanwhile, gunmen suspected to be IPOB members have set ablaze, the palace of the traditional ruler of the Etekwuru community in Imo State.

Also, his private car and other property were razed during the attack. Sources said that the incident happened yesterday night.
