He mentioned that the pilot program would initially focus on six local government areas: Dange Shuni, Wamakko, Bodinga, Kware, Sokoto North, and Sokoto South, with intentions to extend to additional regions in the future.

Mr. Dattijo announced that every employee will have the opportunity to buy goods valued at up to 30 percent of their monthly salary, with a cap of N15,000 in the upcoming weeks.

He mentioned that a consultant has been brought on board to oversee the online platforms, manage the issuance of credit cards, facilitate payment processing, and execute biometric registrations.

He also pointed out that the stores are well-stocked, and that products will be ready for purchase soon.

He said, “Only registered individuals will be allowed to buy the items, and deductions will be made directly from workers’ salaries through the Ministry of Finance.”
