Kaduna First lady Launches Renewed Hope Initiative

The wife of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Hajiya Hafsat Uba Sani has flagged up the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Economic Empowerment Program.

Mrs Uba Sani said the Initiative provides Biness Recapitalization Grands to 1,000 women Petty Traders Across the 23 Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.

During the program, she was joined by the State Commissioner of Finance Shizzer Nasara Bada alongside the Permanent Secretary Lawal A Habib and the entire management and staff of the Kaduna State Ministry of Finance.

In her welcomed address Hajiya Hafsat Uba Sani stated that the renew hope initiative has brought hope to women and to their families. This strategic initiative with its targeted approach of creating jobs, improving healthcare, agricultural aid and poverty alleviation is what the country needs at the moment.

Hajiya Hafsat further affirmed that the Renewed Hope Initiative has offered support in various ways to women in Kaduna State and every other State in Nigeria. “Today you are here again to give support of N50,000 naira to 1,000 preselected women petty traders in Kaduna State”. She said

Zhe added “the grant is expected to be used for recapitalization of existing businesses through strengthening and businesses expansion of women petty traders with no hope of getting support have been given hope today.

In her remarks, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu stated that, the renewed hope administration is aware of the challenges faced by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), especially the petty traders, who form the backbone of our local economies. These challenges, however, have not deterred the strength of our women. The Renewed Hope Initiative Economic Empowerment Program is providing support to 1,000 petty traders per state with the grant of N50,000 each woman to capitalize and grow their businesses.

A total of One Billion, Eight Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (N1,850,000,000.00) will be disbursed to 37,000 women petty traders across the nation.
