President Tinubu Embarks on Paris Working Visit

Abuja, Nigeria – April 2, 2025 – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed for Paris, France, today on a short working visit, aimed at appraising his administration’s midterm performance and assessing key milestones.

During the visit, President Tinubu will review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary. This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year.

The President’s commitment to economic reforms has yielded significant results, with the Central Bank of Nigeria reporting a substantial increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023.

According to Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy) Bayo Onanuga, “Recent economic strides reinforce the President’s commitment to these efforts. This working visit will provide an opportunity for the President to take stock of his administration’s progress and plan for the next phase of his presidency.”

While in Paris, President Tinubu will remain fully engaged with his team and continue to oversee governance activities. He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.

The working visit is seen as an opportunity for President Tinubu to recharge and refocus his administration’s efforts, ensuring that Nigeria remains on the path to economic growth and development.
