President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation at 8pm today.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, made the announcement of the president’s impending broadcast in a statement Monday afternoon.
Buhari first addressed the nation on COVID-19 on March 29 when he ordered a lockdown of the federal capital territory, Lagos and Ogun states following rising cases of the disease in these areas.
The president addressed the nation again on COVID-19 on April 13 extending the lockdown.
Since the lockdown, Nigeria has recorded a total of 1,273 cases, 239 recoveries and 40 fatalities.
