Police, SSS comply with court order to stop Sanusi’s reinstatement as Emir

The Kano State Police Command has announced that all security agencies in the state would comply with the court order that stopped the reinstatement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi ll as Emir of Kano.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Bompai command headquarters on Saturday, Commissioner of Police Usaini Gumel said the command and its sister agencies would ensure peace in the state.

The command vowed to deal ruthlessly with anyone trying to cause violence over the emirate tussle in the state.

A Federal High Court presided by Justice A.M. Liman had granted an ex-parte order restraining Kano State Government from reinstating Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.

This newspaper gathered the judge gave the order on Thursday night despite the fact that he is reportedly in the US.

The case was filed by a traditional title holder, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba, Aminu Babba-Dan’Agundi.
