
The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State, CP Bello Sani has presented cheques under the Group Life Assurance Scheme and the Inspector General of Police Family Welfare Scheme to families of police officers who died in active service.
This gesture is in line with IGP’s unwavering commitments to improve the welfare of the families of officers who died in active service.
The total sum of Sixteen Million, Nine Hundred and Forty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred and Thirty-eight Naira, Thirty-Four kobo (₦16,945,238.34k) was disbursed to 25 families of the fallen heroes in the Command.
The CP noted that the gesture reflected the unwavering determination of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to the welfare of Police personnel and their families.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds in supporting the educational career and future of their households.
He reiterated that the sacrifices of the fallen officers will never be forgotten, emphasizing the IGP’s commitments towards improving the welfare of both serving and retired personnel, as well as the families of those who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.
Abbas Ibrahim, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed their profound gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police for the financial support, noting that it will go a long way in cushioning the effect of the loss of their loved ones.
