Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has said that PUNCH was established on the basis of integrity and objectivity. He stated this while addressing guests at the 50th Anniversary Black Tie Dinner currently ongoing at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Obasanjo explained that the founder of PUNCH Newspapers, Chief Olu Aboderin, who was his friend while he was alive founded the company on the basis of integrity and objectivity in pursuit of good journalism.
He said, “When he had the dream of PUNCH, it was on a foundation of integrity and objectivity. Punch is 50 years today and I believe PUNCH will continue to exist in the next 50 years and beyond. Congratulations!”
