Our Family Farm flagged-off sale and distribution of fertilizers for 2022 farming season at “town”, Auyo, Hadejia, kafin Hausa, kirikasamma” Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
Speaking during the ceremony on Monday, the founder of the modern farming firm, Malam Ahmad Hussain said that distribution of subsidised fertilizers aimed at boosting agriculture, ensuring food security, and providing employment to Nigerians.
He said about 350 tonnes of fertilizers have already been distributed to local farmers at the grassroots at a subsidized rate.
Speaking on the pattern of the distribution, Malam Ahmad said: “In line with our normal practice, fertilizer will be supplied directly to the farmers in the most strategic areas.”
The founder asserted that he travels to every site of distribution to guarantee that the distribution exercise’s rules are strictly followed in order to ensure that the product reaches its intended beneficiaries.
He pleaded with the farmers to work with those in charge of sales and distribution in order to make the exercise successful. He also advised them against sidesale or any other type of diversion.
He also pointed out that, in contrast to their rivals, the organisation does not collect loans at the time they are due.
A farmer and a beneficiary, Yunusa Bulama who spoke at the flag-off praised Our Family Farm’s (FURSA FERTILIZER COMPANY) efforts to revamp Jigawa State’s agricultural sector and increase its productivity.
He praised the diligent work that, in his opinion, makes Our Family Farm stand out among its competitors.
One intriguing feature of Our Family Farm is that the company doesn’t charge interest when the payment is due, he said.
