The on-going Olympics Tokyo 2021 taking place in Japan has left Nigerians with Zero hope to return home with medals until Blessing Oborodudu on Monday beat Soronzonbold 7-2 in their semi-final fight.

This win qualified Nigeria to the final of 68kg which gives Nigeria chance of winning silver or gold medal. Blessing would now fight America’s Tamyra Mensah-Stock for the final.

Sunday Dare, Minister of Sport and Youth Development described the Nigeria wrestler as blessing for returing hope.

“This is a real Blessing to Nigeria. Thank you Blessing for wiping away the pain of the near misses recorded in other events. Nigerians are proud of you.

“The display is typical of the never say die Nigerian spirit. Keep the tempo going until we reach the ultimate which is the gold. Don’t give up the fight until you rewrite Nigerian Olympics history with a gold medal in the kitty.” he said.
