The Director General National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure cautious Corps members from unnecessary journey during their period of mandatory service.
General Kazaure gave the warning on Tuesday, when addressing the 2018 Batch C, Stream II, at NYSC permanent site, Damare, Adamawa state.
He noted that self-restraint, resisting the urge to embarked on an adventurous territory is crucial, siting some ordeals and unfortunate incidents that few corps members endured during such practices.
He said “NYSC has in the past lost a number of Corps members in road accidents, due to bad roads, reckless driving, and poor condition of vehicles.”
He added that the Corps members should get good information about the safety of the tourist site they want to explore from NYSC officials or members of their host community.
