The culture and tourism Community Development Service (CDS) group of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) today presented a plaque of honour to Adamawa State Coordinator, Mallam Abubakar Mohammed in his office at Federal Secretariat Complex Jimeta-Yola.
Mallam Abubakar was given the award strictly based on his immense contribution for making Corps Members feel at ease despite terrifying news about northeast as well as unending support towards project execution.
The President of the group, Chuka Obasi laments that the award is in recognition of the State Coordinator’s numerous contributions to community development in Adamawa state, through his unflinching support to the execution of projects and programmes embarked upon by Corps members.
He particularly appreciated the permission and moral support the group received from the State Coordinator when it organized a cultural show, that formed part of Nigeria’s 58th Independence in the state recently.
Mallam Mohammed thanked the Corps members for the honour done to him, and commended them for sustaining NYSC’s unbeatable legacies in unifying and developing the country in all spheres.
He further charged them to maintain the tempo, and inspire successive Corps members to carry on the good work.
He added that the corps members should work diligently for their places of primary assignment and use their secondary assignment which is community development services to strengthen the unity between National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) and the host community.
