NorthWest Development Commission Gets Headquaters from Gwarzo

The North-West Development Commission (NWDC) has secured a new headquarters in Kano, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to regional development. A 7-storey building located at No.16c Murtala Mohammed Way was formally handed over to the Commission on April 18, 2025.

The building was generously donated by Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, Founder/President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) Kano. “This donation is a testament to my commitment to supporting development initiatives in the North-West region,” Prof. Gwarzo said.

NWDC’s Managing Director/CEO, Prof. Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji, expressed gratitude to Prof. Gwarzo and MAAUN for their support. “This generous donation will enable us to enhance our operational capacity and better serve the people of the North-West,” Prof. Ma’aji said.

The new headquarters will facilitate NWDC’s work in driving development and growth in the region. The Commission’s new address is No. 16c Murtala Mohammed Way, by Daula Roundabout, Opposite Kano Club, Kano State.
