Nigeria’s tally of confirmed cases of COVID-19 rose to 4,151 as 239 new infections were announced on Saturday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

The number of infections in the country has been increasing at a rapid rate.

A breakdown of all the confirmed cases so far shows that 4,151 infections have been reported in Nigeria since the index case in February. Of that number, 3,278 cases are still active, 745 have recovered and have been discharged, and 128 deaths have been reported. A breakdown of the 4,151 confirmed cases shows that Lagos State has so far reported 1,764 cases, followed by 576 in Kano, 343 in Federal Capital Territory, 161 in Bauchi, 159 in Borno, 156 in Katsina, 115 in Ogun, 110 in Gombe, 98 in Kaduna, 96 in Sokoto, 83 in Jigawa, 67 in Edo, 65 in Zamfara, 64 in Oyo, 38 in Osun, 30 in Kwara, 25 in Nasarawa, 21 in Rivers, 18 in Kebbi, 17 in Delta, 17 in Plateau, 17 in Adamawa, 17 in Akwa Ibom, 15 in Taraba, 15 in Ondo, 13 in  Yobe, 13 in Ekiti, 10 in Enugu, 7 in Ebonyi, 6 in Niger, 5 in Bayelsa, 2 in Benue, 3 in Imo, 2 in Abia and 1 in Anambra.
