A bilateral meeting between minister of foreign affairs, Yusuf Tuggar and vice chairman of the Chinese people’s political consultative conference, Hu Chunhua, which highlights areas of further strengthening of diplomatic ties with China to actively actualize recent engagements signed when president Tinubu visited China in 2024.
Garba Nata’ala reports that minister of foreign affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, appreciates china for successfully hosting summits such as the forum on china-africa cooperation (FOCAC) that promote China-Africa partnerships.
Given china’s growing influence in Africa, Yusuf Tuggar also reaffirmed Nigeria’s committment to the one china principle, just as china says it recognizes nigeria’s leadership role on the african continent.
The meeting focused on trade, and cultural exchange, with collaboration in infrastructure projects.
