The Management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has felicitated with its numerous customers across Kano franchise and the entire country as Nigeria marks 60 years of independence.

Ibrahim Sani Shawai, KEDCO’s head of corporate communications made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Kano.

According to the Management, Nigeria deserves lots of commendations for her resilience, love and tolerance for one another over the years.

Without those virtues, the development we have seen wouldn’t have been possible as it is only an environment conducive for peace that brings development.

In recent times, there has been a lot of investments in all the sub-sectors of the power sector and in the shortest possible time, Nigerians will feel the impact better even as we have started seeing the dividends of those investments.

“In KEDCO, we are very much committed to serving our customers and ensuring that their satisfaction is guaranteed through improved and quality service delivery”, the statement added.

In his message, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, KEDCO said “the sacrifice of Nigerians for the unity and peace of the country should be our reason to celebrate.

“The fact that we are celebrating 60 years together as a nation that is the biggest celebration within the celebration looking at the several predictions of disintegration of the country which never happened.

“With peace we will bring development to all sectors of governance especially the power sector which holds the key to revolution of other sectors especially the manufacturing sector.

“On this note, KEDCO greets all Nigerians and urge everyone to put on the togetherness spirit to fight against COVID-19 by adhering to NCDC protocols and take full responsibility for the health of everyone.”
