Nigeria Customs seizes drug suspected to be bandit’s

The Coordinator, Comptroller of the Strike force in “Zone B”, Deputy Comptroller. Olurukoba Oseni Aliyu while displaying contrabands explained that their operatives have intercepted 404 blocks of Cannabis Sativa worth N32 million in Sokoto state.

During the display which happened in Kebbi and Sokoto, Mr. Aliyu said other intercepted items include rice, jerry cans of vegetable oil, spaghetti and bales of used clothes.  NPK fertilizer, vehicles and jerry cans of petroleum, foot wears and also sex enhancement drugs included. 

The canavis according to the coordinator the cannavis intercepted is concentrated and being used by bandits in the area. 

“This is what the bandits are taking before raiding and killing our brothers” he said. 

He warned smugglers to desist from the illegal activity as FG and the Nigeria Custom Service is committed to bring an end to it. 

Receiving the cannavis, representative of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mustapha Baba-Ali thank the Customs for the job well done.
