The mission of any government is ensuring the wellbeing of its citizens which goes hand in hand with improving some very important aspects of human life – which are, Education, infrastructure, Economy. His Excellency Governor Bala Muhammed has demonstrated a very commendable efforts in these three most important sectors in the state within the week:

EDUCATION

As the governor known with a keen interest in provision of a qualitative education and conducive learning environment in the state, had also on 18/08/2020, visited the ongoing construction of the “North east model school” at old Nitel Quarters Bauchi.
The governor said the project is of the greatest importance to his administration, and also inspected the facilities being used for the project in order to assess their qualities. Furthermore, he assured a regular monitoring of the project and a timely completion.

“Northeast model school” isn’t like any ordinary schools we’re used to. It’s a school that will be equipped with the state-of-the-art ICT devices to include interactive boards, computers, ipads, tablets and internet enabled television sets, among others. We only have one in North East – which Bauchi is the center. Which we hope, with completion of the school, our educational sector will witness a great overhaul and reformation.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Since before his Excellency Governor Bala Muhammed come on board, the decadence of some major roads within the Bauchi Metropolis was troubling. So much has been done in that aspect. On 19/08/2020, the governor in his efforts, has also awarded other township roads constructions worth over eight hundred million Naira.
The project which is to commence by the end of this month, include Central Market to Gwan-gwan-gwan, linking Railway market and that of Malam Goje to Bakin Kura to Muda Lawal market, will kick off at the end of this month, and be completed in twelve months, said by the Hon. Commissioner of works.

The Hon. commissioner, Alh. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, said the compensation to all the affected households has already been paid. And assured the state government determination to redefine the metropolitan master plan to compete favourably with other states of the federation.

ECONOMY

There will be no economic stability when the jobless youth are abandoned roaming the street. Which might also be a threat to the security situation of the state. In response to that situations, his Excellency, the executive governor of Bauchi state, held a critical discussions with the Jaiz bank and Tiamin rice mill on 17/08/2020.

The visit by the CEO of Jaiz bank, was to officially seek partnership with Bauchi state Government in the area of rice production. The governor had expressed hope appreciation to the group for bringing a development to the state, and pledged to support them.

With the support of both parties in the said partnership, job opportunities would be provided to the teeming communities of the state and also improve agricultural production, as well as boost internally generated revenue in Bauchi state.

With such a very demonstration of hardworking and sense of responsibility within a short period of one week, we hope that, the long-term unemployment problem in the state will soon become a history.
