Professor Ahmad Ibrahim Makari has instituted a case before Upper shari’a court Rijiyar lemo in Kano against Dr. Abdullahi Gadon Kaya for defaming his character.
The respondent allegedly during his weekly Friday sermon accused Makari for making contacts to ensure the release of blasphemers among others. Thus, Makari sued the cleric on an 8 counts charge praying the court will enforce, to the defendant, a 20 million damage and retraction of the accusations.
