Reacting to the incessant collapse of power grid in Nigeria, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has identified an explosion of transformer at Jebba transmission station for the current collapse.
In a Statement issued, the regulatory body insist, an “independent System Operwtor would engender more discipline in hrid management a d optimised investment in infrastructure”
The NERC also, has said it is calling for a public hearing in sesrch for permanent resolution to the challenges of the collapse.
“In pursuit of finding parmamenent resolutiom to the challenges of the national hrid, the Commission shall shortly conduct an investigative public hearing with view to identifying immediate and remote causes of recurring incidemce of grid disturbances and widespreas outages.”
The Commission said date and venue for the heating will be communicated.
