As part of its end of year services, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) 213 operation Base, Katsina, says it will provide free medical treatment to over 1,000 women and children.
The Commanding Officer of the Base, Group Captain Hadi Ahmed, stated this in Makera village in Katsina Local Government Area of the state during the flag-off of the free medical treatment.
The commanding officer said the free medical service to their host community was aimed at cementing the cordial relationship between their officers and the residents of Makera community.
He said that the officers wanted to prove to their host community that they were not only trained to fight but were also concerned about their wellbeing.
Ahmed disclosed that 400 children were selected for special deworming as part of the exercise and regretted that worms retarded the growth of children and their mental ability.
