Muhyi remanded in prison pending time to fulfill bail condition

Former chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, is being taken to prison on Friday.

Muhyi pleaded not guilty to a one-count charge of providing false information, contrary to Section 149 of Administration of Criminal Justice Law, 2019.

Ruling on the bail application, Magistrate Aminu Gabari granted Mr Rimingado bail in the sum of N500,000 with two reliable sureties who shall be his biological father, paternal or maternal uncle and provide with the court their three years tax clearance.

He will be remanded in prison custody pending the time he met the bail conditions.
