May under fire to resign

Pressure on British Prime Minister, Theresa May mounts as the conservative-controlled British House of Commons announced that it has  delayed plans to hold a vote on its key Brexit bill until May step down.

The bill is expected to be published by May on Friday (today) which implements the terms of Britain’s exit from the European Union. The withdrawal bill which May considered as the “last chance” to secure an orderly U.K. exit is losing the support of the conservatives in Britain.

The bill was missing in the schedule of parliamentary business of that week, as published by the House of Commons on Thursday.

Conservative lawmaker, Mark Spencer, told the House of Commons the bill will not be published this week fueling pressure on May’s unpopular position on brexit.

Andrea Leadsom, the leader of the House of Commons, who previously is due to introduce the bill on Friday, quit earlier in the week, saying she could not support the bill.
