Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) delivered his lecture on Thursday, 3rd September, 2020 where he shared his experience on Security and Development at the National Institute for Security Studies, Bwari, Abuja.
This was contained in a statement signed on Thursday by Zailani Bappa, Matawalle’s Media Adviser on Public enlightenment, media and communications.
According to the statement, Governor Matawalle was officially invited by the Institute to address participants its Executive Intelligence Management Course (No13). His paper was titled, “Promoting National Security And Sustainable Development: The Zamfara State Experience”.
Governor Bello Mohammed discussed extensively on the issues of Security and development in Zamfara State under his administration. He advanced the causes of insecurity and challenges faced by the government as well as his achievements in that sector.
Governor Matawalle said that security of lives and property was paramount, hence the decision by his administration to take it headlong on assumption. He said that honesty and determination saw him through to the success of returning peace to the then troubled state.
He said the present peace attained in the state will be maintained while developmental project will be speeded for the benefit of the citizens.
Governor Matawalle said the RUGA project initiated by his administration will serve as a foundation to Re-integration of ex bandits and those who are fully interested in grazing. He said the pioneer one is almost completed at Maradun while construction for the other two will begin very soon.
