Justice Fatima Ahmed Tafida of Adamawa Hight Court sentenced one Bangos Adams, 40, to death by hanging.
The convict is to be hanged by neck until he give the ghost according to Justice Tafida who said he was proved guilty of two count charges beyond reasonable doubt.
Adams, a farmer from Janjaba village of Gombi Local Government was charged to the court for killing his wife Regina Bangos and her child, Revelation James — hitting her with axe and hacking the child.
Confessing his crime, Adams told the court he married his wife Regina, after she was divorced by her husband and relocated to his house with her child. Every time they had disagreement according to him, she will threatened returning to her old husband and the child supported her, something that irritate him.
Adams continued that on 15th June, 2021 they were together when the wife asked him to buy grain to prefare food. He asked her to go to kitchen and fetch the grain when she retorted he should intead buy them bread to eat and use the grain the following day.
This was what made them quarelled and since then nurtured grudges againat her untill she retired to bed when the incidence of the killing happened.
Adams reported himself to local hunters who later handed him to the police.
