Makoda Commends Conduct of NBAIS Exam, Reiterates Govt’s Commitment Islamic Education

Kano State Commissioner of Education Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda has commended the conduct of the ongoing National Board For Arabic and Islamic Studies Examination (NBAIS).

Dr. Ali Makoda made the commendation today Tuesday while monitoring the examination exercise at School for Arabic Studies (SAS) and Abdullahi Bayero College of Qur’anic Studies in the Municipality.

Final year Students of Arabic Schools across the country are writing papers on Islamic Studies today Tuesday as part of the core subjects of their discipline.

The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with arrangement made so far for the examination, acknowledging that it was impressive to see students at the two colleges busy writing the exams without any hitches.

” We have seen how the students are busy writing the exams at School For Arabic Studies (SAS) and Abdullahi Bayero College of Qur’anic Studies and with this, I want to pray for the students for success throughout the examination period ” he stated.

Ali Haruna Makoda however commended the effort of Abdullahi Bayero College of Qur’anic Studies old boys (class 93) for general renovation of two classes with furniture.

” It is impressive to note that the old students graciously renovated two classes with furniture, provided 2no of 2000 liter water tank and 16no of street lights installed within the school Premises ” he explained.

He further urged other Unions of the old students in the state to do the same by making donations in cash or in kind for the development of their respective schools.

Dr. Haruna Makoda further reiterated the commitment of the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in boosting the standard of Islamic Education in the state.

Earlier, the Principal of School For Arabic Studies (SAS) Abubakar Idris Gwammaja and Principal of Abdullahi Bayero College of Qur’anic Studies Khamis Nafi’u Yusuf thanked the Commissioner for the visit.

They commended the effort of the state Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for the recent settlement of NBAIS Examination fees to Kano Students for the year 2024 and 2025 respectively.

The Commissioner was also at the Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education Kano where he supervised training of schools headmasters, head teachers and Directors organised by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
