An early morning fire has engulfed the red chamber of the Katsina Government House, a section connected to the governor’s office, where important meetings are held.
As of now, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unclear.
According to information from Daily Trust, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda was in Funtua at the time, attending a zonal town hall meeting aimed at engaging with the local population on their needs and aspirations.
