The Police in Kano said they have arrested two suspected criminals over the death of a physiotherapist, Atiku Tijjani Shuaibu Ringim who was killed over a phone in the state.
Police spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa disclosed this to SkyDaily on Saturday.
The hoodlums on Thursday at about 8pm in the night allegedly attacked and killed Atiku Tijjani while attempting to forcefully snatch away his phone.
The incident leading to the untimely death of Atiku Tijjani, a staff with Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital was said to have happened when he went to visit a friend around Jan Bulo, along Gwarzo Road in Kano Metropolis.
DSP Kiyawa said the two suspects arrested in connection with the incident were being interrogated and they are giving useful information to the police. It was however gathered that the corpse of the deceased has since been buried in his hometown, Ringim in Jigawa State, in accordance with Islamic rites.
