A Kano State House of Assembly ex-speaker and chaiman house Committee on Pension at the Federal House of Assebly, Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Rurum, who is a gubernatorial aspirant in APC, informed journalists in Kano on Sunday that he is not happy with the way politics is being played in the party APC, in the state.

According to him, internal democracy had collapsed in the party as some people are hellbent in selecting candidates without allowing democratic processes to take place

Mr Rurum said “it is unfair at this dispensation to deny Kano South the chance to produce the next Governor, as they have not got the chance since 1992.”

He said he is considering joining forces with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso’s New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP to ensure that Kano South Senatorial District are carried along in the politics of the state.
