The Acting Governor of Jigawa State Mallam Umar Namadi has yesterday sworn in Honorable Justice Umar M. Sadiq as the substantive Chief Judge of Jigawa State.
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen yesterday and signed by the Public Relations Officer at Jigawa State Ministry of Justice, Zainab Baba Santali.
This came following the recommendation by National Judicial Council and acceptance of the recommendation by Jigawa Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
The appointment was confirmed by the State House of Assembly in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Justice Umar M. Sadiq is the fourth Chief Judge of Jigawa State, who succeeds the immediate past Chief Judge, late Honorable Justice Aminu Sabo Ringim who retired on 25th November 2020 and died in a car crash recently.
Umar M. Sadiq is a graduate of law from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and was called to bar in 1989.
