DCP Abba Kyari of the IGP-ITR in the Nigeria Police force has responded to an allegation of bribery libel against him by fraudster Ramon Olorunwa Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi on Thurday.

In a Facebook post on his verified page, DCP Kyari said his office 2 years ago, received distress call from Hushpuppi to save his family from threat by a person the police later learnt it was his friend.

“Hushpuppi called our office about 2years ago that somebody in Nigeria Seriously threatened to kill his Family in Nigeria and he sent the person’s Phone number and pleaded we take action before the person attack his family.”

Mr. Kyari noted that after investigation the suspect was released on bail because he constituted no threat to anyone’s life.

“we discovered there wasn’t an actual threat to anyone’s life and they are long time friends who have money issues between them hence we released the suspect on bail to go and he was not taken to any jail.”

Nobody has received or demanded Kobo from Hushpuppi Abba Kyari reiterated.

Abba Kyari noted that Hushpuppi only saw on his social media page, some native clothes and caps which enticed him and sent 300, 000 naira to the seller’s direct account. Hushpuppi later “sent somebody to collect them” in the Corp’s office.
