The House of Representatives has urged the Federal Government to establish more Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion centres across the country.
Adopting a motion by Deputy Minority Leader, Aliyu Madaki, the House believes that conversion of vehicles to CNG will bring down the cost of living for Nigerians and called for equitable distribution of the CNG conversion kits and centres across the geopolitical zones of the country.
Meanwhile, the trend of defections continues in the House of Representatives as three lawmakers from Katsina State formally announced their resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party to join the governing All Progressives Congress, citing internal party crises in the PDP as reasons for cross carpeting.
Their defection was witnessed by Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umar Radda, who was in plenary briefly to show solidarity and support.
