Gov. Buni Prioritizes Citizen-Centric Projects in 2025 Budget

Governor of Yobe State Hon Mai Mala Buni has on Monday 14th October, 2024, kicked off the 2025 budget bilateral discussions with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

Represented by Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali mni, the governor emphasized the importance of transparency and public participation in governance, building on his administration’s commitment to inclusive budget planning.

The bilateral discussions mark the beginning of a collaborative process aimed at allocating resources effectively and prioritizing people-oriented projects.

Governor Buni has charged the Ministry of budget to ensure that more resources are dedicated to initiatives that benefit the citizens of Yobe State.

Key Objectives of the 2025 Budget Bilateral Discussions are, to enhance transparency, foster open communication between MDAs and stakeholders, promote public participation, encourage citizen involvement in budget planning, prioritize people-oriented projects and allocate resources to initiatives benefiting Yobe State citizens.

By engaging citizens and MDAs in the budget planning process, Governor Buni’s administration demonstrates its commitment to effective governance and accountability.
