Base on the recommendation of University’s visitation panel of Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil (KUST), approval has been granted for the renaming of the University.
This was contained in a press statement issued by Kano state commissioner of information Mallam Muhammad Garba.
The university, according to Garba, has been renamed after the business tycoon, Aliko Dangote.
Formally KUST, Wudil, the university is now Akiko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST).
“Kano state Executive Council has approved the renaming of Kano state University of Science and Technlogy (KUST), Wudil.
“the institution is now to be called Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST), Wudil.” the statement said.
Garba further explained that the approval has been transmitted to the state House of Assembly to study the relevant laws establishing the university for amendment.
